Umbrella Academy, a family review.

Who said that a superhero series, full of action and special effects can not also speak about extended families, educational issues, the fatigue of becoming an adult and finding one’s place in the world?

In Umbrella Academy, a Netfilx series born out of a comic, we find the hyperbolic themes dear to the early readers expertly mixed with the most modern cinematographic techniques. Carefully selected actors (Ellen Page for example) and edited with well-composed soundtracks.

Seven problems for seven brothers. The low self-esteem of number 7, the disappointment for the father figure of number 1, the hero syndrome of number 2, the dependence of number 4, the ego of number 5, the need for self-affirmation of number 3 and finally the small problem of number 6: he’s dead.

A father made of rules and an automatically helpful mother who is the laid table on which to serve all the twists

Spacetime assassins, unspeakable secretes guarded by the butler chimpanzee, a world conflict at the gates and the end of the world.

However, as already said, the theme is the sense of a family made of people who cannot be more different, and who, even if they were born on the same day, they seem to be on the opposite sides of the zodiac

From time to time, the centrifugal forces will prevail on centripetal forces and the end is to be enjoyed.

Recommended for those who liked “The Boys” and “Doom Patrol”. Not recommended for those who like the heroes all in one piece.
