Rausch (Intoxication, Drunkenness) is the term Nietzsche used in 1889, in his Götzen-Dämmerung (The twilight of the gods), referring to the dialogue in harmony between Apollo and Dionysus. A thought that overwelmed the opposition between the two gods the philosopher had emphasized, 17 years earlier, in his Die Geburt der Tragödie aus dem Geiste der Musik (The birth of tragedy from the spirit of music). RAUSCHARTjournal leverages Nietzsche’s such update thought to connect with society as well as with the artistic phenomena: Art as Apollonian-Dionysian exaltation and also as a wet catalyst of critical sense as far as its connection to society is concerned.
