A beginning reminiscent of “Saving Private Ryan”, an ending reminiscent of “Mission Impossible”, and a shooting technique taken by “Birdman”. All the rest is a very classic world conflict plot, sense of duty, friendship, suicide mission, hand-to-hand, freshmen not yet shocked by the war, a two-dimensional and malicious enemy, damsels in distress, surprise bombs, corporals who don’t believe anything anymore, generals (all veterans also in cinema) like Olympic gods who, with seraphic tactics, send everyone else to die. But what is more striking is the acting ability of the mice.
